Inside the STORMCRAFT Valkyrie: Premium Design, Cooling & Gaming Performance
When it comes to a pre built gaming PC, there are a few key things it needs to get right. First, it's got to look good. After all, you want something that's going to sit on your desk and look sleek. Then, it's got to run cool, so you don't have to worry about it overheating in the middle of a gaming session. And finally, it's got to perform well, without cutting any corners on the hardware inside. To see how the Valkyrie stacks up, we sent it to Tek Syndicate for a review before it launched. He put it through its paces, testing it out and taking notes. Here's what he found out.

What's the Case Actually Like to Look At and Use?
The Valkyrie features a unique design that's centered around two panels of glass, with no pillars to block your view. This creates a seamless, three-sided window into the build, giving you an unobstructed look at what's inside. There are a few key details to keep in mind when it comes to this design.
- Top and bottom ARGB light strips run through the chassis
- The top strip connects via a gold finger contact that lights up automatically once the top panel is installed
- A modular back panel houses a dedicated figure display stage with an omni-directional spotlight, quick-swap, so figures can be rotated without opening the main chamber
- A deep dual-chamber back panel hides cable routing and holds up to 3 additional HDD/SSDs, with support for PSUs up to 200mm
How Does It Handle Cooling and Future Upgrades?
- Supports up to 7 fans, all PWM + ARGB, so fan speed automatically adjusts based on system temperature, and lighting can be fully controlled through software. Radiator mounting is available at the top and rear, sized to fit a 360mm AIO.
- A full mesh rear panel and dedicated bottom intake vents deliver cool air directly to the GPU instead of relying on general case airflow. Integrated 10° angled airflow guides channel fresh air efficiently beneath even today’s largest graphics cards, improving cooling performance while helping maintain lower temperatures under demanding workloads.
- An adjustable GPU bracket, with vertical height adjustment and a rotatable, extendable arm, fits a range of card sizes without interfering with GPU fans, including large, triple-fan cards like the RTX 5090
To sum it all up, the system's performance was really impressive, even when pushed to its limits at 4K resolution. Tek Syndicate noted that it handled everything smoothly and quietly, saying "we are getting plenty of FPS here running this at 4K. It's beautiful and it's completely quiet." This is great news for anyone who wants a powerful system that won't make a lot of noise. The fact that it can run 4K without any issues and still be quiet is a big plus. Overall, the system seems to be a great choice for those who want high performance without the noise.
What's Inside It?
The unit Tek Syndicate reviewed was built around the Intel® Core™ Ultra 7 270K Plus and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 16GB.
- 8 Performance cores + 16 Efficient cores (24 total) handles gaming and heavier tasks like video editing or 3D rendering without breaking a sweat
- Stays efficient, keeping power draw and thermals in check
Note: the review unit's RTX 5080 was a Founders Edition, chosen to show the chassis fit clearly on camera. Retail units ship with cards from ASUS, MSI, Gigabyte, ZOTAC, or PNY.
Storage: 2TB storage drive recorded 4,804.86 MB/s reading and 4,440.95 MB/s writing in the sequential test. The results for the random access to 4K blocks were 927.43 MB/s reading and 724.72 MB/s writing. During load testing, the drive never exceeded 55°C, extremely cool for an M.2 slot, as Tek Syndicate noted.

How Does It Actually Perform?
Across current titles including Cyberpunk 2077, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III, and Black Myth: Wukong, the system held above 180 FPS at 1440p and ran comfortably at 4K with ray tracing enabled.
For Cyberpunk 2077 specifically, Tek Syndicate ran a heavier test Ray Tracing: Overdrive (path tracing enabled), 1920x1080, DLSS Quality set to Auto (no frame generation). This put the system at an average of 104.88 FPS with a minimum of 84.85 FPS and maximum of 127.33 FPS over the 6,738 frame test.
Tek Syndicate took it a step further by introducing two even more challenging benchmarks to put things to the test.
- Doom The Dark Ages: Running on Ultra Nightmare settings at 4K, the frame rates were consistently high, ranging from 60 to 90 FPS. What's really notable is that it was even possible to reach the 90 FPS mark, and this was achieved even when the game was set to its hardest preset.
- Superposition: a synthetic stress test, where the system posted a minimum of 182 FPS and a maximum of 453 FPS.
